While we have established high standards for academic achievement and performance, our educational programme has been created with an emphasis on the development of the child’s whole being.

Defining the logo

Defining the logo and the tag ‘Be the Best’, the Six Sigma Program was formulated. The factors and attributes which have been included in the teaching-learning process are not only necessary skills for the 21st Century but also help to make the learners ‘Street-smart’ and ‘glocal - from local to global’.
The outer ring, ‘THE RED BAND’ signifies the essentials, which is needed by the learner. They are the prima facie of the individual, which are developed, enhanced and improved at RIS, Mira Road.

Personality Development

As life progresses, you are guaranteed to face a variety of circumstances, changing environments, and new roles that require you to adapt to them. A personal development plan will help you to handle the pressures that come with the continuous changes and challenges, so that you are well-equipped to excel in all the areas in your life. Personal development is an ongoing process of self-improvement either in your career, in your education, in your personal life, or in all of these areas. It is about setting goals for yourself and putting plans in place to reach those goals.

Sports and Health

Playing a sport requires a lot of time and energy. Some people may think this would distract student-athletes from school work. However, the opposite is true. Sports require memorization, repetition and learning — skillsets that are directly relevant to class work. Also, the determination and goal-setting skills a sport requires can be transferred to the classroom. Fighting for a common goal with a group of players teaches you how to build teamwork and effectively communicate to solve problems. This experience is helpful when encountering problems at work or home or life. Sports also has health benefits such as lowering the chance of osteoporosis or breast cancer later in life. Watching your hard work pay off and achieving your goals develops self-confidence. Achieving a sport or fitness goal encourages you to achieve other goals you set. This is a rewarding and exciting learning process.

Our values are important because they help us to grow and develop. They help us to create the future we want to experience. Every individual and every organisation is involved in making hundreds of decisions every day. The decisions we make are a reflection of our values and beliefs, and they are always directed towards a specific purpose. That purpose is the satisfaction of our individual or collective (organisational) needs. When we use our values to make decisions, we make a deliberate choice to focus on what is important to us. When values are shared, they build internal cohesion in a group and within an individual as well.


Academic success is important because it is strongly linked to the positive outcomes we value. Students who do well in school are better able to make the transition into adulthood and to achieve occupational and economic success.


Skills and Vocational Competencies

Skill competence is an important phase to complete the learning process at school. At RIS, Mira Road, this phase is designed and implemented not only to measure learning outcomes, but also to provide entrepreneurship experience for the learners. With the emphasis on skill competence, all materials, methods, strategies, tools and assessors are designed and optimized with respect to the school vision and Cambridge Learner Attributes are placed at the core.

Community Conserve and Care

Community engagement pedagogies, often called ’service learning’, are ones that combine learning goals and community service in ways that can enhance both student growth and the common good.  In the words of the National Service Learning Clearinghouse, it is “a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities”.

Our activities, work environment, the TL Process, are all based upon this belief and curriculum to achieve maximum zenith of achievement and success.
